I am glad, that you've got a minute to find out ,what's new about my life. For people,who prefer Russian as a language to read in, I have a page in livejournal.com . My nick there is mashkany, so you can easily find me and stuff about me at that site. Because usually I don't have much time to write long articles, in this, let's name it "blog" I'll try to update you about my news in a few words. Well, here we go: September 2010 August 2010 - If we're talking about creative stuff, it was a very smooth month.As they say: nothing to write home about. A few v/o gigs here and there, some script writing and that's basically it. My relatives came for 3 weeks.They're leaving today.Sumer is gone... - In Karlovy Vary until Aug.11 July 2010 -Yesterday I've had a meeting with Joe O'Brien from Paradigm Agency throug AFTRA Open Door. He is very friendly,open and cool person .Hopefully,we'll work together. - It just arrived. My headshot's pack. Got them and love them. - I am from now officially represented by Archer King LTD .Let's see, if it'll be as cool as they say it is to have an agent. June 2010 - 2 pictures from "Unhappy happiness" just uploaded to the photos/videos page. - Recorded a fun computer game v/o. Hopefully, will post it here soon. - Got another job through Abramce Agency. -Just was offered a representation by Archer King Agency. He is a very cool person, old generation,one of the first A list agents from the old days. I wonder, how will it feel to work with him. - Auditioning for direct TV v/o tomorrow. - Just had a meeting with Carol Nadeel through AFTRA open door.She looked like Edit Piaf to me :) ,very sweet,open and friendly. The plot of the story is really simple: a vacation romance, an adulterous love affair. Steps Theatre chose the famous story because underneath its melodramatic plot it saw peculiar and paradoxical phenomenon of the unhappy happiness. Each of us often leads a double life, and sometimes this turns us into absurd and tragic characters. As Chekhov himself put it, “Everything is wonderful in this world. Everything except for our thoughts and deeds when we forget about the loftier goals of existence…”. The production of “Unhappy Happiness” represents a daring shift in style, space and time. What do flying cardboard boxes, southern sea beaches, wintry Moscow of the late 19th century, Soviet lyrical songs of the 1950s and 60s, and New York City’s East Village have in common? May 2010 - Just came back from Kiev.Can't sleep...As always,I am in love with my home city, my friends, my theatre, the atmosphere, the mood of everything. It's so different, so beautiful and so far away from my NYC life.Every time I am there,I feel like a different person ,like an old me from the past.... starting my everyday rehearsals for the 17 June Checkov's premiere tomorrow and hopefully it'll heal me from my usual after-Kiev-nostalgie. -Going to Kiev until May 30 - Just found an interesting recepie for singers to always have a perfect voice: залить зёрна Аниса (50гр) кипяточком (400мл), кипятить на слабом огне восемь десять минут, потом процедить, зёрна выбросить, а приобретенный отвар довести до кипения. Поставив на слабый огонь (чтобы фактически не бурлило), добавить две практически столовые ложки майского мёда, дождаться растворения мёда и, влив 50гр коньяка, сразу снять с плиты. Приобретенный отвар принимать по одной практически столовой ложке каждый реально добрый час в течении месяца -I've started rehearsals yesterday.It feels like coming home after a long-long trip. I am not sure, if my schedule will allow me to go ahead with it ,but OMG, I love being an actress againg! -Atlantic City ,here I come! -This Tuesday I have 2 auditions at the same time, so I have to choose from the "Fiddler on the roof " national tour or BBC radio drama .Not sure,how much time will take the one for BBC.If it'll be a real quick thing, I might try for the 2nd one as well,because I guess,it's usually a long story to audition for a musical theatre,also there will be a lot of people.I'd come there anyway just for learning. April 2010 -For the potential "Fiddler on the roof" audition (I did no decide,if I'll go yet, because it's a national tour ,but just in case) I went through number of songs and for now my top choice is "Moon river". Such a hart worming piece! Singing it all day today. -A friend of mine gave me a very wise and simple advise,I want to share: If you know,that you're an actress,than be an actress ! Everything is a bit slow this month,so I've decided to hire a piano teacher and to refresh my skills .Will have a first lesson tomorrow. Also found a few legit theater musical songs ,I'll likely have ready for possible auditions, because all the stuff I know is still in Russian or Ukrainian (there were no need for any English songs in my book yet,but who knows...). - Just got in touch with a very cool company www.blokmedia.com They do international voice over stuff,production,ets. Professional site, friendly people,hope to work with them soon.- 2 Songs (one mine and one composed by Roman Korotin), I was talking about for such a long time are at last uploaded into my audio page. Thanks, Nate. - I've got an offer ...It's a lead role in a Chekhov's play "Lady with a dog".Thinking... - Happy Passover, everybody! March 2010 - If you'll be flying Israair, please ,listen carefully to the Russian voice,saying stuff, like "Dear passengers! Welcome aboard! " It'll be me!!!:)) - Going to audition for print commercial tomorrow.Wish me luck! - Have some new stuff in my live journal. My last year was finished nicely in Miami and at the last day of it I went to the "Swim with a Dolphin" program there. My dolphin was friendly and even gave the opportunity to kiss him ! It was really cool, but a bit cold. Just got my new american passport - The Oath of Aligence was a very remarkable experience. - I had my first booking with Abrams Artists Agency's v/o dept. - A few more bookings through CESD May 2009 - Thanks God,the citizenship test is over! It was my husband's and my mother's in low Birthday,so we decided to celebrate it in Prague. March 2009 - There were many voice over recordings,including Nuance,EMC,Korean Air and more - Lufthansa commercial is completed and running at every Russian channel - I am still in search of a good headshot photographer - The workshop for "the Nose" in Carnegy Hall was beautiful. I miss this kind of training and wish there will be more of such experiences for me. - I've started free lancing with HH Talent Management

-it's hard to believe,until you'll try it yourself,how tricky it is to dub or actually, lip-zink any text from French into Russian.Two languages are too far from each other.So much better to deal with some closer language pairs,perhaps from the Slavic group,I mean Russian-Ukrainian-Polish-Belorussian.It was fun anyway.Can't wait to see the final version of that video.
and now sending a "thank you" notes to every person from the industry,I've met.I don't know,if they like receiving them,but for me this process of deling with pretty envelopes and nice cards for sure is entertaining.
Now,the only place ,I'll need a visa to is...Russia
